Economic Development Strategy for Northwest Pennsylvania

FutureWorks recently produced an economic development strategy and action plan for an eight-county region in Northwest Pennsylvania. This region is "non-metropolitan" - mostly small towns and rural places. The client was the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission yet the strategy focused on challenges facing all economic development institutions in the region. This project began in April of 2002 and was completed in February 2003.

Economic Development Strategy for Erie, Pennsylvania

In 2000 and 2001, FutureWorks led a consultant team under contract to the Economic Development Corporation of Erie â County (EDCEC) to assist in the establishment of an economic development strategy for the one county metro region. The consultant team was asked to analyze the regional economy, assess the factors affecting competitiveness in the region, make recommendations to strengthen the regional economy, and assist in the preparation of an Erie County Economic Development Strategy.
